  • Lawrence County, TN adjoins Giles County and is the location of some of the earliest Barlow documents we've found to date, such as the April 1, 1845 marriage record between William Barlow and Eliza Osborn (Osburn).  (Until new information would prove otherwise, we accept this to be our ancestor, William Henry Barlow).  To learn more about the area, click on the City of Lawrenceburg web site.
  • The official website of Giles County, Tennessee was launched in 2007 and contains a wide range of information for anyone thinking about relocating, visiting or just wanting to know more about the area.
  • The official website of the City of Pulaski is a great place to become acquainted with the town.  The site is very nicely done and is full of information about the current day community as well as its history.
  • Lynnville, Tennessee was an important location to the early Barlow/Barlar family.  The Lynnville.org web site includes a few paragraphs about the history of the place. 
  • The City of Lewisburg has a very nice web site that provides information about the Marshall County region.  Many of the Barlow/Barlar family members lived in Marshall County, which includes the towns of Chapel Hill, Cornersville, and Petersburg.
  • North of Pulaski, is Columbia, TN., which is in Maury County and is another of the places some of the Barlow/Barlar family eventually made their home.  The  City of Columbia web site offers information about the area which encompasses Mount Pleasant, Culleoka, and Spring Hill.
