James 'Larry' Vick is the project
manager for the Vick DNA project at
Family Tree DNA.
Recently, our own
Larry J.
Barlar contacted the above Larry Vick in an effort to learn whether
the Vick lineage he represents may be related to the Vick family, into
which, our
ancestress,
Annie Jane Barlow, married.
While it isn't yet clear
whether the two Vick groups stem from the same family, it was interesting
to find out that just as it was for the Barlow (Barlar) family, Isle
of Wight County, Virginia was home to at least one of the early Vick family
branches.
